FAQ

Block 1: Technology and Operation

What is Evoconstructor® and how does it differ from a conventional 3D printer?

Evoconstructor® is a multifunctional robot for the construction industry that combines robotics, AI, and 3D printing to build on-site or in a factory with greater speed, savings, and sustainability. It goes beyond printing walls: it automates tasks like concrete pouring, leveling, pavement laying, plastering, and finishing, enabling a true industrialization of the construction process.

What is the modular system and how does it adapt to different projects?

A scalable platform that allows starting with a small configuration and adding modules/tools and services without replacing the system. The technology grows with the company, facilitating industrialization without extra costs.

How does the modular system work?

It industrializes the process from start to finish: 3D printing, concreting, leveling, finishing, and more. It scales in size (e.g., from 3×3×4 m up to 24×40×40 m) and in functionalities with multifunctional tools.

What certifications and standards does Evoconstructor® technology comply with?

It complies with international standards for automated construction, structural 3D printing, and safety. International patent EP3733354B1 with protection in Europe, China, India, Brazil, USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Poland.

Block 2: Applications and Use Cases

What type of projects can be executed with Evoconstructor®?

Single-family homes, multi-family buildings, public works, precast elements, and unique constructions, on-site or in a factory; also below ground or between party walls and on sloped/limited access terrain.

Can it be used both on-site and in a precast factory?

Yes. The same modular and multifunctional platform automates tasks on-site or produces elements in a factory with equal efficiency, traceability, and quality.

What real examples of completed works exist?

Demonstration projects under real conditions (public works, precast, unique constructions). Cited examples: ECOAGA (first building), La Goleta (1st tender in Spain for 3D printing), and PREARSA (precast product line).

Can I visit a work site or see demonstrations?

Request a technical visit or a personalized demo. Contact

Block 3: Acquisition, Implementation, and Support

Does Evocons sell technology or also offer turnkey services?

Evocons designs and manufactures technology (Evoconstructor®), it does not act as a construction company. Several clients already operate the technology and offer turnkey services. Have a project? Contact us.

How can I acquire Evoconstructor® technology?

Comprehensive support: definition of dimensions/modulation, training program, software subscription, and technical/PMO support on-site. Request personalized advice.

What training and support does Evocons offer?

A 70-hour certified program (in collaboration with the Construction Labor Foundation), support on the first projects, and guidance until full autonomy is achieved. Speak with a specialist.

How many people are needed to operate the machine and what profile should they have?
  • Main operator: manages the system.
  • 3D printing officer: supervision and complementary tasks.
  • 3D printing assistant: material control and support.

Simple training via Evocons Academy (70h). Request information.

What does the support and technical assistance include?
  • Personalized advice and training.
  • Continuous support, software updates.
  • Basic replacement parts for wear and tear.

Block 4: Costs, Efficiency, and Sustainability

How much does it cost to build with Evoconstructor®? Is it really cheaper?
  • Up to -30% in material execution budget.
  • -50% in timelines.
  • -25% in indirect costs.
  • Very competitive local raw material (e.g., ~€100/ton, ≈€0.01/kg).
How does it contribute to sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint?
  • Up to -80% of CO₂ emissions and less waste thanks to resource optimization and local materials.
  • Traceability and real-time control of consumption and emissions.
  • Aligned with SDGs (9, 11, 12, 7, 6, 8, 5, 10, 3, 1, 13).
What maintenance does the technology require? And the warranty?

Daily/weekly maintenance according to the manual and semi-annual preventive maintenance by Evocons with inspections, updates, and replacement of critical components if necessary.

Warranty: 2 years. The first sale includes a spare parts kit for operational continuity.

What is the estimated installation time?

It depends on the size and space. For a standard gantry (12m × 18m × 9m), with 3 trained people, it can be operational in ≈5 days (assembly, connection, and calibration). With experience, the times decrease even more.

Block 5: Customization, Design, and Regulations

Can I adapt the architectural design to my project?

Yes. EVOCONS participated in the drafting of UNE EN-ISO/ASTM 52939:2024. The technical team provides guidelines (thicknesses, modeling, etc.) and advice. Submit a request.

What technical and project requirements must I meet?

Comply with the Technical Building Code (CTE), Structural Code, and local urban planning regulations. Evocons provides advice from the basic/execution project to processing and compatibility with certified 3D printing (UNE EN-ISO/ASTM 52939:2024).

Can 3D printed buildings be certified?

Yes. Thanks to UNE-EN ISO/ASTM 52939:2024 and current building regulations, it is possible to technically and legally validate constructions made using 3D printing.

Block 6: Common Doubts and Myths

Is it safe to build with 3D printing?

Yes, the technology complies with international standards and has been tested in different environments and real conditions.

What if there are design changes during construction?

The freedom of the Z-axis allows for printing a space and later adding new divisions after 3D redesign and G-code generation.

What happens if I need urgent assistance on-site?

Continuous technical support and protocols with a ticket system for traceability and immediate response by the relevant professional.

What if my company has never worked with robotics or 3D printing?

The system is designed to be intuitive. Evocons offers on-site support, monitoring, and continuous advice until full autonomy is achieved. The goal is for no one to be left behind.
