THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CANARY ISLANDS ENDORSE EVOCONSTRUCTOR.
The disruption of 3D PRINTING IN ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCCIÓN FIELDS IS A REALITY.

The EvoConstructor® line of work has had the support of the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the project "Tools and CNC control system for Robotic Construction System, Evoconstructor" with co-financed aid by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with a rate of 85% within the framework of the ERDF Operational Program of the Canary Islands 2014-2020, Priority Axis 1 "To promote research, technological development and innovation", Specific Objective 1.2.1.002 “Program to promote high-tech and knowledge-intensive companies in priority areas of the RIS3” for an approximate value of 230,000 euros, approximately 70% of the total project budget; furthermore, the project has been endorsed by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program under financing agreement number 868218 for an amount of 50,000 euros; and finally, it has been also supported by the European Social Fund (ESF), axis 1- specific objective 8.1.3, with aid with a co-financing rate of 85% within the framework of the Canary Islands ESF Operational Program 2014-2020 for the incorporation of researchers into the productive framework.

ROBOTIC SYSTEM INNOVATIONS
Robotic systems for facades and indoor spaces.
From EvoConstructor® we advocate for the continuous improvement of construction systems, so under the same concept of optimization the construction processes and the use of technology we have developed 2 variants of the EvoConstructor® system under patent P201830357. This patent describes in detail the characteristics and advantages that these new innovations represent compared to current remodelling and restoration systems.
The equipment is made of a metal structure with a five-axis system to which different tools are attached depending on the tasks required for remodelling and restoration of buildings. Furthermore, it is possible to remodel internal and external building areas, as well
as building facades, without scaffolding, avoiding risks related to the handling of tools directly on the building surfaces. In addition to this, both the system for facades and the system for internal areas have a vacuum system that transports the waste to a specific area.
Facades:
Self-Elevation System
The system allows its self-elevation and self-assembly, avoding the need to work at height. The structure has an auxiliary axis to transport materials and an operator who visualizes and controls the quality of the work carried out by the robotic system.

Indoor spaces:
Internal Refurbishment
This innovation allows indoor works, being able to use also demolishing tools and bagging machines. The system is fixed to the wall or floor and it has an axis through which the equipment displaces. Both the system for facades and the system for internal areas have a vacuum system that transports the waste to a specific deposit. So, this waste is automatically bagged by robotic mechanism that transports the material already packed to the desired area.

3D CONCRETE PRINTING IMPROVEMENTS
EVOCONS moves towards the future of new technologies and with the firm commitment to improve and automate the construction processes, as well as promoting the use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials.
The department of Research and Development is working to develop new concrete characteristics from the mechanic, chemical and environmental
point of view. We focus the effort on analysing geometric alternatives, material composition, mixture ratio and so on.
Encouraging the transfer of know-how
COURSES AND SEMINARS
Innovation and transfer of knowledge (as a result of research projects) into the productive framework contribute to increase social and economic welfare and, consequently, allow citizens to benefit from its improvements directly. For these and other reasons, from Evocons we promote the implementation of success results into the productive framework to contribute to the progressive transformation of our society towards a knowledge-based economy. We organize courses and training packages that provide theoretical and practical information on 3D concrete printing applied to architecture and construction.
